Angelo Moyano

Born in Spain, bred in the Netherlands

His talent for design has been cultivated during his career in the custom motorcycle industry. However, in order to develop and explore his talent, he needs more freedom and finds it in sculpturing: almost anything is permitted and almost anything is possible. There is scope for his creativity and sculpturing allows him to think and create freely.

Attracted by its purity, surprised by its colours and shapes, and driven by curiosity for its character, Angelo finds natural stone the ideal material for sculpting. Intense passion and inner strength make him want to join organic forms with the roughness of the stone into a sculpture. It is a process of the utmost concentration: to observe, step back and contemplate; over and over again. To Angelo, sculpturing means inner enrichment.

His greatest source of inspiration is “the woman”; her character, sensuality, curves and movements. Love, respect and admiration inspire Angelo to sculpt her from stone. A sculpture is perfect when it unites his soul with the souls of the model and the stone.
